Women’s March Foundation, Co-Executive Director
Elaine Patel joined Women’s March Los Angeles during preparations for the second annual Women’s March LA, spearheading volunteer coordination and wearing many other hats for this historic event. The experience left Elaine exhilarated, inspired, but most of all, hungry for more. Elaine noticed that women who started off as strangers at the beginning of the march were walking hand in hand down the streets of LA, unified with hope. Alongside Founder and Executive Director Emiliana Guereca, Elaine dug her heels in and started building what is now Women’s March Foundation.
Elaine’s background stems from corporate marketing, having led the domestic and international strategic marketing efforts for a 100+ unit iconic restaurant chain based in Los Angeles. Before this, while completing her MBA at Loyola Marymount University, Elaine also led the marketing for various Macerich and Trizec-Hahn owned shopping centers. Elaine married her college sweetheart, Kevin Patel and has three children, ages 8, 9 and 10, which has been her biggest accomplishment of her life…surviving 3 under 3!
